The Cold War Heats Up
Against the backdrop of nuclear armed tension between the U.S. and the Soviet Union, the survival of the world depended on the ability of the United Nations and the two superpowers to keep a local crisis such as Korea from escalating to total war.
Weapons of War
This exhibit features the various weapons of war used by both the Marines and the enemy during the Korean conflict.
Sea Wall at Inchon
This display features a view from the Theater in the Korean War Gallery. It includes a special video presentation on the Battles at Inchon and Seoul.
Seoul: Battle Of The Barricades
This exhibit features an M26 Pershing Tank as it rumbles through the war-torn streets of Seoul. Includes a 3-D model and narrative history of the Pershing.
Frozen Chosin

See Saw War
This exhibit tells of the accomplishments and setbacks during the war, and how they affected moral back home.
The Marines' Air War
This exhibit describes the Air War in Korea and features a Grumman F9F-2 Panther jet fighter which flew as part of the first Marine jet combat mission in December 1950. Includes a video on the Korean Air War and aircraft 3-D models.
LVT
This exhibit features an LVT-3C backed into a defensive position along the front line.
Main Line of Resistance
This exhibit tells the story of the latter parts of the Korean War, where opposing forces were dug in behind fortified trench lines. Includes several Oral Histories on what life was like during this part of the war.
Fate of the POWs
This exhibit tells the story of the POWs, and features a powerful display of what it was like for a Marine placed in solitary confinement as a POW. Includes the Oral History of PFC Howard Davenport on his experiences as a POW.
